Emivest delivers first SJ30 small business jet

The first Emivest-branded SJ30 business jet – formerly made by Sino Swearingen but now owned by Emivest Aerospace – has been delivered to the owner of an entertainment company.

The SJ30, equipped with an HF radio for overseas flights, a coupled Garmin 500 GPS and an entertainment system for passengers in back, was delivered Sept. 23, Emivest said in a news release. While a handful of SJ30s were delivered in 2007 when the company was known as Sino Swearingen, deliveries and development stopped when the company ran out of funding. A Dubai-based investment firm brought in a fresh infusion of cash and changed the name to Emivest. The plane, now priced at $7.5 million, can carry six passengers up to 2,500 nautical miles and cruise at 486 knots. The plane is heavy enough that it requires a type certificate to fly, so it is not considered a very light jet.
